“Little Miss Radish, pretty thing,
Her birthday in the spring:
She and Little Onion play
Out in the park all day.
Assemble a doll-sized mini book: True, is the depiction and verse of radishes and green onions. Visitors can collect all of the botanical illustrations and verses from the Children of Mother Earth to print and create a little book of poetry for their dolls. Simply drag each png file. In the Word document, print, cut out all the pictures to the same size and staple the pages together at the left edge. Squeeze some white school glue along the pointed edge of the pages and attach a cardboard cover.
“Beautiful red radishes from the garden made the children even more charming, with their leaves turned for clothes and tied with blades of glass. Sometimes the radishes slept in the cradle of the stash-box, but more often they were eaten by them dear mothers, for the radishes the children were no good Just to look at them, and good to play with, but also good to eat.” Margaret Colson Walker

Her dear little red face
green baby,
You are the bright child
ever seen,
Although it is for your brightness
to be welcomed by others,
“Tis for your good
That mother will eat you.
