Animal cutouts that look like ink drawings.
Japanese artist Masayo Fukuda meticulously and patiently cuts leaves to create these beautiful illustrations.
Only when she holds them in her hands does she feel how fragile and complex they really are.
They are all beautiful and adorable pieces, but my favorite is the octopus and the seventh picture below: fox, bird, squirrel, and eagle. The latter looks like the animals are sitting on different planes the farther up the graphic they travel, the further away they seem.
If you look at them against a black background, they are almost indistinguishable from ink drawings.
Patient and skillful put into an excellent work, by a very skilled artist.
