Adult coloring books broke the idea that we don’t have to give up the things we loved as kids, and paper dolls have always been one of my favorite things, so why not paper dolls for adults? I didn’t have a lot of pretty clothes growing up, but the paper dolls did so I could live vicariously by gorgeous gowns and adorable hats.

Dover Paper Dolls for adults have been around for years, I’m so sorry I missed these for so long. Did you know that in these books you have to cut out the paper dolls and the clothes yourself, but that’s really good, I remember having to beat them as a kid and often tearing a piece of the costume or tab. “Dolls” are also made of paper of the same thickness, so we recommend pasting them with some cardstock so that it is easier to dress and undress them. Make your own paper dolls
These stencils from favorite mixed media artist Meghan Quinlan allow you to create your very own paper dolls using all those fun papers you probably still have in your art pantry. It has 3 different decks to use for technical notation, difficult cutting of cards or ATCs, or just for fun. I like the Moonlight Serenade kit better so I can create my own body and clothes and use capes plus the raven and moon are very cool too.
