The revelations made by Cousin Charlotte and the others about his dream made the greedy Tom feel very ashamed.” Margaret Walker.
Once upon a time a greedy little boy
eat a lot of pumpkin pie at night,
and the terrible dreams he had
He made his hair stand up in fear.
Smiling pumpkin faces are scary
crowded around his bed,
And every pumpkin face is smiling
Show a fire inside the head.
The faces shouted “we are ghosts”
Of the pumpkins in those pies,
If you are not so greedy,
We didn’t get up before. ”
Then terrified faces lit up
Slowly faded out of sight.
But the horrific pain is inside him
It lasted almost all night.
