Miss Goosey charm by Reynard the Fox

Once the fox Reynard bewitched Miss Josie and persuaded her to go with him to his city in the forest. Approved. But they rarely left the chicken coop before Goosey got nervous. Raynard had an evil twinkle in his eye, and licked his lips so often, that she began to wish herself safe again, and said so.
But said Reynard, “No, no, my dear friend, there is nothing I love so much as a fair little swan; I cannot save you.”
“But I’m a goose, I’m a goose!” The poor bird giggled.
“You really are,” replied Beau Renard, “otherwise you would not have ventured out with me.”
Now, there’s no telling what would have happened to Goosey had the fox not started laughing at his own joke, and taken the opportunity to get away.
I got to the pen just as the fox started wiping his eyes and getting ready for his meal. She shouted to her mother: “Let me in, let me in.” “I’m your goofy little goose again, and I’ll never leave the house again.” So it all ended happily – at least for the goose. Henry Altmus Company.
