Pumpkin drawings and carvings are out of season.
American artist Joy Edwards (Edwards Pumpkins) said this about his work: “I make strange and wonderful things. Wire carving, ultra-realistic carved pumpkin images, painting and more.” And: “As a child I made many of my own toys out of wire, clay and paper. Anything I wanted to play with was only limited by my imagination.”
Some people like to put things in the right boxes. This post would be an example: “Halloween art should be shown in October, not January.” For me, art transcends holidays and special occasions. If it’s that good, I enjoy it any time of the year.
It is said that Edwards has a special carving technique. Pumpkins are cut from different angles which when lit, give the light different shades of color and bring out the 3D look.
Stunning designs executed with perfection as the light gives the finishing touches in different colours.
