“You will see clearly,” said Mr. Gorde
We are a busy family.
We give you bottles, cups and stuff,
and curly vines for play rings.”

Assemble a doll-sized mini book: True, pumpkins and hair is depicted. Visitors can collect all of the botanical illustrations and verses from the Children of Mother Earth to print and create a little book of poetry for their dolls. Simply drag each png file. In the Word document, print, cut out all the pictures to the same size and staple the pages together at the left edge. Squeeze some white school glue along the pointed edge of the pages and attach a cardboard cover.

The Little Wests each envisioned a different style for the dolls. Eugenie like the visiting dolls, Florence played mother to the little dolls in long dresses. The child always insisted she keep her children at home. Tom’s characters came from a squash patch and pumpkin vine he didn’t think it necessary To even put these on, all one had to do was dip a pen in ink and mark faces on it.
These faces can be made either sunny and cheerful or sad by changing the directions of the lines. Lines that go upwards make happy faces and those that go downwards make troubled faces.
Oval yellow pumpkins are made into Fat Men and Humpty Dumpty. These Toms used to run races with each other by rolling them down the hill. Which do you think always outperforms, the fattest and the biggest, or the smallest?

Only the Pumpkin Babies seem to know anything at all about acting right. As strange as it may sound, the younger members of this awkward family were as sweet and easygoing as any kid in the entire Vegetable Kingdom.
Some of these pumpkin babies were made using the large part for the head and a deep frill around the neck for a gown. This was held in place by a pin passed through both the garment and the child.
Others were made by using the thinnest part of the head and putting the same kind of frills around the neck for a dress. The latter type can sit like any real baby.
It was the easiest thing in the world to make rhymes about these dolls—in fact, the rhymes almost seemed to make themselves.” Margaret Walker.

with a yellow face
and green hair.

with seeds in place
where my mind should be-
You can’t expect much
From a colleague like me.
