Subway pencil pictures drawn on site.
New Yorker Devon Rodriguez designs these pieces on the go and then presents them to the person who provided the inspiration.
Drawing a picture on the spot is hard enough, add to that: the car is moving, rocking from side to side, and the model can leave at any moment. It makes an original score, kind of Mission Impossible.
The graphics are perfectly detailed and shaded. Looking at the pictures below, there is no hint of bugs. This is not the same as drawing a building, where you can sit and spend your time in a stable and comfortable place for as long as you want. Maybe, until you come back to it another day. Here you have minutes at best…
Impressive work by an artist who shares his talents by teaching all he has been taught.
I leave you with one last thought: Imagine you’re sitting there doing your thing and minding your own business, and then… all of a sudden someone hands you a nice free gift like this…
